 Welcome to the twentieth edition of our newsletter.  My name is Troy Assaly and I have been operating a thriving owner-direct vacation rental website in Whistler Resort since 1998.

1. HOW TO MAXIMIZE YOUR WHISTLER RESERVATIONS - 3 EASY TIPS

Mother Nature has blessed us with a huge snowfall. Now is the time to maximize your vacation rental bookings!

Website traffic to ResortAc.com is up. January was our busiest month ever with over 14,000 visitors.

  2. Your listing description and details must be current.
  3. Your photos need to be good.

To maximize reservations our website must offer EASY search options. Finding a vacation rental needs to be easy.

Based on feedback from our website visitors we have added these new features:

Availability Search - Without question, the most logical method for a potential guest to search for Whistler accommodations. We have been testing date availability search for 3 months and are now ready to roll it out to the public. If you want your listing to be included in the ResortAc.com date search results you must set your calendar to 'show'.

Building Complex - Helpful for renters and search engines, the name of your building complex should be selected for your listing. If your building is not in the list, please email or call me with the name and I'll enter it in our system right away.

Memberships - Build credibility with guests by selecting from Tourism Whistler, Whistler Chamber of Commerce and Better Business Bureau .

Management - Allow renters to easily search for By Owner and / or Property Managed vacation rentals.

Accepted Payment Methods - Another very important detail to your potential guests. Select from Cash, Wire Transfer, Money Order, Certified Cheque, Visa, MasterCard, etc.

  1. Click https://www.resortac.com/ownerlogin.asp
  2. Logon using your Username and Password. (If you have forgotten your password, use the password recovery feature and your password will be emailed to you instantly.)
  3. Click on Manage Your Properties.
  4. Click on the property you want to edit, make your changes, then click the Submit button.

Every Whistler homeowner who is serious about building their vacation rental business needs to have a website.  A daunting thought I'll agree, but it's faster and cheaper than you might think.

Here's a great solution that is very quick and will save you time and money:  buy a prebuilt website and have us add your vacation rental text and photos.  If these designs don't suit your style, we recommend pre-built websites from www.FrontPageTemplates.com (cost around $50).
